Global Events and Tradeshows (GET Events) founded in 1998 under the name of The MAX Group, was started as a full-service company specializing in equipping companies for exhibition in international expositions, trade shows and corporate events. The MAX Group survived the Y2K computer scare, the dotcom bust and the 9-11 destruction of the two towers in New York City. Even when other exhibit companies were falling by the wayside we were able to find customers that desired the products and services we provided. We have succeeded in delivering great exhibit designs, production and uncompromised, exceptional customer service. We established The MAX Group as a company that did not just believe in customer service but lived it even in our daily lives.

Ron Nance founded Global Events and Tradeshows in 1999 and has been producing successful tradeshow exhibits and corporate events for thirty years. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, graduating from Southern Technology Institute in Atlanta, GA, and working as a General Contractor, Ron began his career in the exhibit industry as the Production Manager with Formetrics in 1979, an award winning exhibit production firm in the SF Bay Area. He managed a team of 55 designers, graphics and union building craftsman. He managed to bring the production revenue from $750K per year to $4.5 million, also producing the first two-story booths and largest booths Formetrics (aka Color & Design) had built to date. After leaving Formetrics, Ron helped establish the production departments of two local start-up exhibit companies.
In 1987, Ron accepted an opportunity to become the Corporate Tradeshow Manager for Triad Systems and spent ten years with them in Marketing and managing the 325 shows per year for four divisions. Ron set up an internal trade show facility, including the warehousing, refurbishment and construction of all exhibit components, properties and crating. His team organized and produced international shows and multiple Customer Service and Sales training theme events each year. His department was always on time and within budget on every project. Ron was regional president of the local IEA (International Exhibitors Association) for several years.
When Triad Systems was acquired by a larger company, Ron moved to Mattson Technology in 1997 as Corporate Marketing Manager, planning and organizing seven large shows per year, primarily internationally. Ron gained an exceptional understanding and experience in working with other cultures to produce successful exhibitions, marketing collateral and trained sales personnel to effectively develop rapport with international customers and vendors.
Determined to use all of his experience and expertise acquired on both sides of the tradeshow exhibit industry and endeavoring to set himself apart in the area of customer/account services to assist companies in their pursuit of exceptional tradeshow exhibits, fixtures, and displays, Ron launched Global Events & Tradeshows. He managed Mattson’s exhibit tradeshow schedule for two years in a consulting arrangement and was able to successfully build the business. The company has been built upon integrity, quality and exceptional, beyond the call of duty, customer service, and continues to grow and thrive.
